AIGNA represents nurses from across the spectrum of health and social care, research and education with the aim of promoting the advancement of gerontological nursing.
AIGNA provides a forum for members to advance their knowledge, skills and expertise in the care of the older person through our website and other communication strategies.
The wellbeing of older adults is at the heart of our person-centred agenda. We make submissions on relevant policy and care issues and remain focused on the advancement of gerontological nursing as a career choice and on the availability of educational opportunities for nurses across all care settings.

The mission of AIGNA is the advancement of gerontological nurses’ knowledge, skills and expertise through networking, both nationally and internationally, information sharing, research and other knowledge translation activities.
